Frank Yamatsu (1882 – 1934)
Frank Yamatsu was born in Japan. In 1933 he was a cook with the Holbrook Dredging Co. on the Sixtymile River. Yamatsu died of unknown causes at St. Mary’s hospital in Dawson. He was survived by his brother Sam in Dawson, his wife and daughter, and a brother Joe in Japan. His pall bearers were Morishigi, Kitamura, Shigachi, Sakata, Kitamura, and Sam Kawahara. Frank Yamatsu is buried in the Hillside Public Cemetery. No marker has been located.1)
